March 6th Meeting Agenda –
PLEASE NOTE VENUE CHANGE & EARLIER START AND LATER END TIMES.
For our March Monthly Meeting we are inviting everyone to the first session of SJC’s Spring 2018 Certificate Program In Urban Sustainability. The venue for our meeting will NOT be at City Hall this month, instead it will be at Hudson County Community College Culinary Conference Center Room 505, a short walk from the Jrnl Sq PATH. AND this meeting will start earlier and end later – starts 6:30 and ends at 9:30 ! Session to include INTERACTIVE GAME PLAY, will be fun and will definitely shift your perspectives 🙂
Our Certificate Program is mult-dimensional and covers off on lots of topics, but we feel especially strong about providing folks with a framework about HOW TO THINK ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY, and our first session addresses the opportunity to solve societal problems more holistically, so we think it will help participants to shift the usual way they would contemplate solutions.
The session will be led by Jaimie Cloud, Founder & President of The Cloud Institute in NYC. Read Jaimie’s bio here http://sustainablejc.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/SJC-Certificate-Program_Instructor-Profiles-_2018.pdf
Building a sustainable wardrobe doesn’t mean sacrificing style—it just means making smarter choices. Whether you’re shopping second-hand, supporting ethical brands, or getting creative with upcycling, every small step helps reduce waste and protect the environment.
