Sustainable Jersey City is committed to creating programs that increase community engagement and enable systemic change from the grassroots level. Our goal for 2026 is to invest in the future generation of environmental leaders through our Youth Eco Ambassador Program (YEAP)! Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world projects, youth participants explore climate change, environmental justice, waste, and more–and take action where they live.
This year, we’re raising $5,000 to expand this program. Your support will help us reach more students across Jersey City, expand hands-on learning experiences like tree planting and composting, and support youth-led environmental projects. Jersey City is already experiencing the impacts of climate change, and YEAP gives young people the tools and knowledge to take action today.
